Registration and incorporation:
The AFSA is an integrated regulator of the AIFC and will register and incorporate entities that carry on financial services activities and non-financial services activities. AFSA will provide guidance and review prior to processing applications submitted by applicants who wish to establish a legal entity in AIFC in compliance with AIFC Rules and Regulations.

Authorisation is the ‘gateway’ to being able to carry on financial services activities in the AIFC.

A Person located in a jurisdiction other than the AIFC may apply to AFSA for an order declaring it to be a Recognised Non-AIFC Member. Recognition will enable financial market infrastructures (trading platforms and clearing and settlement institutions) and qualified potential market participants (brokers) to be recognised to carry out their activities in the AIFC without having to establish a physical presence in the AIFC.
